He just told me his brake booster is electric. I asked him if he perhaps just lost vacuum to the booster somehow.

I have a booster and master cylinder from a 90 if that would work.

Electric... that sounds like the early abs junk my xj has

Stopped by and checked it out, CC has an aftermarket master cylinder, and an electric vaccuum pump. He found a bad relay, replaced it, and got brakes back.
