Default Is There A Difference?

alright im gona buy a body lift for my truck simple enough but my truck is an 83 ram but im putting a 91 cab on it what one should i get? one is for years 72-86 and the other is 87-93 is there actually a difference between the two? what one should i buy?

if your buying a kit the bolts might be different thread or the bumper brackets might be different, just piece it together its just as easy, my truck has a 74 front clip 86 cab and 93 bed, i used extra blocks i had and bought the rest from ebay i want to see some updated pictures
im buying another truck this weekend another 1989 3/4 ton its rotted but it will be a beater haha

i have the cab and from what ive heard 1980-1993 dodge cabs are the same im just wondering if the kits are the same

im telling ya man ramchargercentral.com best place for all things dodge. as for what swampfox said the bumper brackets are different. yes late 80-93 have the same cab and mounting points.

74-85 cabs have a bolt and nut to hold the cab on , 86 and newer cabs have a 1/2" bolts that come up from the bottom and thread into speed nuts inside the floor.

ok so i wish you woulda commented earlier i have already got the body lift and acording to you i got the wrong one. but the kit i got has 1/2 bolts...which are 7" x 1/2" (performance body lift #613) and what your saying is that i need (kit number #653) that has 4 180mm bolts? and thats the right kit? youve been throught this before i take it? thanks joel

i went through this years ago. I got the body lift for the later year cab.
