Children's charity/shelter question

I have hundreds and hundreds of comics. I was trying to find a shelter or something like that for kids to donate them to. I have no use for them and thought the kids might like them.

I looked online for a while but didn't have much luck. Does anyone know of a children's shelter or home that would have some use for the comic books?

I consider the toys for tots program but wasn't sure if that was a good idea.

Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

Mott in Ann Arbor or Children's Hospital in Det. I bet would take them so kids have something to do while stuck in the hospital.

In Muskegon we have a sort of 1/2 way house for kids that have been removed from their parents custody or who have been in minor trouble, "Webster House" its a place they stay at while waiting for foster parents, we also have a safe house for women and children escaping domestic violence called "Every Womans Place" maybe you have something similar in your area.
I'm sure they would be happy to accept your donation.
