Also, none of us know how often these players get blasted and play the next day half drunk. For all we know that is a daily occurrence.

Baseball is a business. A big business. Look at all the revenue that could be lost for them not making the playoffs.

I don't know much about his personal life, if the Tigers take some sort of disciplinary action towards him it will most likely take into account any past incidences (if any)

I was just answering CC's question, i have seen people get fired for much less. I equate this to being on a sales team making the final sales pitch to a client and screwing it up because of a poor choice in his personal life.

I understand that. Just like movie stars and other people in the spotlight, it seems our society accepts and thrives off of behavior like this.

I have to agree again. He played poorly all weekend. You can't tell me that a guy who was up all night long drinking and blows a .26 @ 6:00am will be in good shape for a game later that day. Not to mention, his mind probably wasn't in it after having a fight with the wife & spending time in jail.

It pisses me off to see these guys making more money in one year than many of us will make in a lifetime being so careless and cavalier.

I think he needs rehab.

"A police report released late Monday quotes witnesses as saying an erratic Cabrera taunted an overweight,
15-year-old boy at the hotel in late August and had to be escorted out. One witness said Cabrera "acted as if he was on some drug"
during the outburst; witnesses said
the confrontation grew so heated that he challenged the teen's table to a fight outside and implied he had a gun there.

The August incident prompted Tigers President Dave Dombrowski and the team's legal counsel
to meet with Cabrera, the report said. Dombrowki "told Cabrera not to frequent" the Townsend again, the report stated,
citing a text message from a Tigers security official. ..."

Of course Dombrowski denies the warning ever happened.

On the radio this morning they said he had his 'click-clack' out in the range rover.... Good thing those were B-ham teens and not Detroit, they'd have pulled out their 'boom-boom' and shot him....
