Thornbird Tire pressure for Silver lake

i am going to silver lake sand dunes this weekend of the 8th and 9th and was woundering what i should put my tire pressure at i have tiny 29 inch thornbirds for now on a 93 YJ with the dinky 4 cylinder

And yes, I run the ssr's at 6 to 8 psi with no beadlocks.

I guess what i will do is go in at 25psi and then drop it down to about 8-9psi and see how it does from there

Each tire is different.. play around with it....when I ha my YJ I ran the rear around 1-2 lbs less than the front due to the weight difference...... if you go to low... go to David Allen Racing and air back up :)

I run the boggers on my CJ5 at 3-4 PSI up front and 1-2 PSI in the rear if the sand is really dry, 6/4 if its damp.

U're no fun.. Once u get into the pit area. air down. dont even try to go out wit anything over 15.. you'll just get stuck on the entry rd and cause a back up and everyone will hate you, call you bad names, moon you, and throw things at you

you do that and you WILL get stuck on the entry road. I have 33" thornbirds, and I run 1/2 to 1 psi. I was running b/t 8-10 and they still dug in a lot, not as much as 25-30, but they still dug in.

As low as you can go, or as low as you feel safe going....it takes a lot to make them thornbirds squat. have fun!

I would suggest just buying new tires...........but if that is out of the question 5-9psi should work. Tbirds have stiff sidewalls and need to be run at lower pressures. Especially with your 4cyl.

Ive said it before, and Ill say it again. Do NOT go on the dunes without first checking your Muffler Bearings. Also, top off your blinker fluid.

i just checked the blinker fluid and it is low soo ill need to fill that up and as far as the muffler bearing goes it looks like i am going to haft to cut out the cherry bomb out.. i had to replace the radiator belt too

sounds like you guys use blonde star alot also u wanna be carefull not to run to high of RPMs u could run the timeing belt for the windows of track and that could cause a fire! lmao
