Not to be partial cause I own one, but Beaner's right about the grip. Dont get me wrong I like the gun, but there's just something about the grip. Just seems like the gun is really fat. I've been carriying this gun for about a month now, and I'm starting to get used to it being on the thick side though. Put quite a few rounds through it, and havent had any problems. Wish I would have bought the 40. though. Stupid ass 9mm. WTF was I thinking.

I have both a sub compact, and a service model. I love both of them. Never had any problems with either of them.

I have an XD-40 sub compact as my primary carry piece. i carry with the short mag, get the "pearce grip" mag extension, in my case it made the gun fit my hand perfect, i did'nt care for the feel of it without that, it left me with a finger hanging off. i've had this gun for years and shoot it at least once a week, at least 100 rds and i've never once had a misfire/jam. i would buy another and recommend to anyone in the market. My 2nd choice would be a Glock model 27, and 3rd choice was the S&W M&P sub compact 40, i shot all similar models when buying and always came back to this one.
