New headlights on 96 silverado

I was thinking about getting a new set of headlights for my truck, the stock ones are looking a little worse for the wear and i just had a bulb burn out, so good excause to replace everything

was I was wondering is, I was looking at getting a set of Black headlights, they come with black parking lights and corner lights, the outside lens of the headlighs are clear but the reflective surface on the inside of the lights are a kind of black chrome, I wanted to know if that will make the headlights seem dimmer than stock lights, like blackout covers do

Thanks for the help!

i got a good set at the speed shop by me they have been good never any moisture in them. if you do that get the high beam conversion kit it makes it nice at night. to disable your daytime running lights push your parking brake down a little it turns them off it will save your bulbs

i looked at the black headlights like ur talking about and it looks like the lense on the outside is clear its just the shinny back part that is black, they look pretty cool, but it doesn't look like they be dimmed from thoes headlights it just looks like its the shine on the back of its thats black not the outside lense. if u get them tell me what u think i might buy some

I saw that about the outside lens being clear, they have a picture of a chevy truck with the whole headlight package, it looks pretty good, I was just wondering if the backing of the headlight, the part that's acutally black (chromeish something or other) would dime the headlights, I dont' see how but I was just courious

i'll prolly be picking up a set, and a new grill along with them lol (mines got some cracks in it and the chrome is starting to peel under the hood. I'll let you know what I think, if i dont' like them i'll sell them to you cheap lol

we both prolly have different taste lol

depends on what color intersity you get, 5000k are white, 6000k are the blue-ish-hue-thing lights, and you can get 8000k bulbs that are purple-ish, but you need some more wiring or something for them

normal bulbs are about 4000k, the yellow-ish color, newer vehicles use about 5000k....or so lol
