Default Save Wheeling in Utah - Less than 48 hours until the vote!

Once again, those here in the midwest and the east coast are trying to close down wheeling in Utah. Remember, even if you don't plan to wheel out west, don't be fooled into thinking they won't come after MI sometime soon. The more they close, the easier it gets.

There is public four-wheeling in Michigan?
Newsflash-They have already been here and it's the model they are shooting for.

Yes, two-tracks. The bill needs to be opposed or even that little bit will be gone. No 4-wheeling, no ATV's, nothing.

agreed.
But I must add, off-road enthusiasts need to begin an offensive.
All we have been doing is minimizing the losses.

And thanks for the original post.

Fully agree on the offensive, but only to the point we don't give the other side ammunition to use against us.

Also love how on the list supporting the bill are the reps from Detroit. The city who keeps telling everyone government should stay out of their city and let them run it. But they want to rule Utah.

Dear Friend:

Thank you for contacting my office regarding the Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act. I appreciate hearing from you on this very important issue, and I am pleased for the opportunity to respond to your concerns.

As you may know, Representative Carolyn Maloney introduced H.R. 980, the Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act, in February of this year. If passed, this legislation would protect lands in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. This bill will designate biological connecting corridors that will be protected from outside influences in order to preserve the ecosystem in the Northern Rockies. Additionally, H.R. 980 will appoint certain lands to be "roadless" and inaccessible to motor vehicles.

While there are many positive aspects to this legislation, there are other parts that I find troubling. I am concerned about the effect that such a wide reaching land protection will have on the power sport industry. I firmly believe that America's wildlife should be preserved for future generations, but I also believe that preservation practices should be implemented with the utmost care and consideration. You can be assured that I am carefully monitoring this piece of legislation, and if it comes to the House floor for a vote I will be sure to consider its effects on both the environment and the power sport industry.

Again, thank you for your correspondence. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my office. For other statements and press releases regarding this legislation and others, you may visit my website at http://candicemiller.house.gov.

Default 48 hours

There is less then 48 hours until they vote maybe to close Moab to wheeling forever.

What will you do in that time to save our sport?

Click the link above and send your email.

Dear Friend,

Thank you for contacting me with your concerns. It is an honor to serve as your Representative in Congress, and your message is very important to me.

Because of the large number of letters, email and phone calls my office receives each day, there is unfortunately a delay before we receive each one and have an opportunity to respond. However, we will follow up with you as soon as possible.

If you need immediate assistance, please feel free to call our office toll-free at 877-737-6407.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me.

Sincerely,

Mark Schauer

Member of Congress

I called Gary Peters (my rep). He said he has never been there (Utah) and I told him he shouldn't vote on things he has no idea of.

Problem is, Green is the latest craze that they are all jumping on. No response from us stating our side, no wheeling.

Meh everyone will bitch when they can't wheel anymore. But yet they will have no right to IMO as they sat and watched it happen.
