Ignition Coil

id like to swap up to a high performance ignition coil for my 1991 Suzuki samurai. from what i understand the fuel injected coil is alot better than the carbed coil was but im still trying to find better. i already have some NGK platinums and some fut to fit 8mm Msd wires i just dont know what all needs to be done and what needs to be used to upgrade the ignition coil. there are only two wires running to the stock coil.

I wouldn't think one would gain much by still using the stock spark control module?

the two wires running to the coil are (+) (-) to power the coil

would i need a resistor and is it just as easy as cutting and reattaching wires from old to new coil. im not really looking for big gains, im just looking to get a little better than stock since its about the same money as standard replacement.

Ive used a accel coil with stock sami ignition and it worked great I woulnd not claim any better performance but never had any moreof the problems that led me to replace the coil and the hook up was just swap 2 wires from stock coil to new one
