Default opinion on buying 88 sami

I found a 88 sami for 1500 obo, here is what it has done to it

rebuilt motor with about 5000 miles on it.

31x10.5 mudders on it

1988 Suzuki Samurai
-Rebuilt motor
-Header
-Rocky Road JP Eater suspension
-Rocky Road GM Alternator kit
-Arm green
-Many extras

the body is in pretty good shape with no major rust but it has been painted army green from a rattle can..

so what do you guys think about the price? and what are some things to look for that could be a problem?

I would look very closely at it's lift, It may be cobbled together, spring perches, brake lines, driveshafts, etc.

Expect to buy gears for it, 31's and stock gearing = teh suck, and after 20 years the stock carburetor is really just waiting to go wrong, so expect to swap that out for something else soon.

And the bodies should have rust on them, if not then they probably hid the rust under bondo.

he said the drive shafts had been replaced also. I believe he has the double jointed ones on it now.

Grats on the rig. I'm not looking for another wheeler per se, but I still keep my eye out for a good deal on something small to tinker with.

Dang that sucks, I will probably take a look at it if they ever reply to my email. There's no phone number on the add.
