Default 4.0l 97 EFI

Ok i have a 4.0L out of a 97 ranger and have to tear it down to change a head and intake gasket and was thinking since i'm that far in i might try to BEEF it up a lil does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone built 1 up on here oh and it's not the SOHC it's just the push rod i believe that's what it's called. I'm putting it in a 90 Ranger XLT 5 SPEED thanx for all info and any suggestions... SCOOT

maybe port match the intake and heads, possibly valve job, and some headers

i believe there are a few performance cams out there, but it might be hard to justify the $$

yeah i know what u mean about the price 50 to 60 hp with a 2900. or 3200. stroker kit but who has that right now RIGHT
