Default Axle Troubles

ok i have a 1997 k1500 suburban. i recently instlled 3inch lift blcok and turned up torsion bars. prior to this i had no problems. now i noticed a couple issues. the pinion seal appears ot be leaking since the lift. and this one just started last night a noise that sounded like my drum brake internals were falling apart i took the drums off everything is fine have the truck inthe air sure enough can not duplicate the noise. it only made the noise n deceleration or braking in reverse or forward gear didnt make a difference then on my way home from work last night it was almost continous just hard to hear at highway speeds with window open. does any one have any idea what my noise could be?? i checked the rear diff fluid its full and clearer than expected at 225k miles.

The noise your hearing is probably the torsion bars creaking. My blazer does it, and it got worse after tweeking the torsion bars. I've read that the bushings need to be lubed, but havn't tried it yet.

im thinking might be u-joints now but still dont know u-joints are tight but when i here the noise it sounds like a zip tie on the driveshaft and no there is not a zip tie there but i have experienced this before
