Default cruise control and headlight issue

Last night I was out doing some cruising and while I was on the highway with my cruise control on I turned my lights on and my cruise control shut off. I thought it was odd so I took it out today and drove around and realized if I have my headlights on my cruise does not work at all.

Anyone ever experience this or hear of anyone having this problem ?

It's a 1999 Chevy Express 1500.

2x The lever is connected to a plastic switch via a rod. The switch is most likely junk. Not that uncommon.

You guys had better check your tail light bulbs and your rear window brake light. they use the bulb as a resistor for the cruise. the older wagons & fullsize had it also.

I know theres many things afoot in the car biz and someone was just telling me the Buick rendevouz don't run with the right head light out.
