Default XJ neutral safety switch

All in the title, specifically for a '98, not sure what years are compatible. Trying to fix the backup lights on my ma's XJ and have it narrowed down to that, that's the only part of it that doesn't work.

Thanks in advance

you might try taking it apart and cleaning it up, that works sometimes.

That was the idea, but its seized onto the shaft that comes out of the trans, and from what I've been told at that point its hard to get it off without destroying it.

So if somebody has one that's already removed, as long as its something I could work with, even if it may not work properly, I'll probably take it.

Or if anybody has any advice on how to get the damn thing off without hurting it that would be cool too.
