Unhappy TJ Dana 44 housing

2004 TJ Rubicon

Bent the long side tube in 3 places. Looking for a clean TJ axle housing for Dana 44 to rebuild this front end.

Thx
Joe

Hadn't even gotten that far thinking about it. I'm still focused on getting parts to fix me. I'd have no use for it so I'd probably let it go cheap. You'll have enough fun grinding all that crap out to resleeve it without having to spend a bunch of cash as well.

The stock TJ tubes are junk. Over 70 axle housings on b/o from Dana to Chrysler and delivery date is now set for 9/10. Gonna have to truss the new set before we even put axles back into it.

Am still on the fence. HD housings are abundant but would need new locker (Rubicon locker won't fit other diff housings), knuckles (would want w/ high steer), bearings, new outer shafts for my chromalloy inners, lockouts, calipers and brakes. Would be a stouter solution but twice the cost of getting back to my current set up, not even counting having to sell and replace all 10 of my 5 on 4.5 wheels.

Would LOVE to find a completed HD Dana44 front end, roter to roter and ready to mount my Clayton control arm mounts and coil buckets.

Joe
