Default Media blasting in North Oakland County?

Any recommended places? I know shredded bark does it, but he's a bit of a drive for me.

Got a rusty CJ tub to blast. 5ft by 9ft.

Try AMB, Alternative Media Blasting in Brighton. He uses soda.

Soda is great for paint, grease, oil and loose rust removel but will not remove embedded rust. Soda blast everything and then use a cup gun for small rust areas. I had a business soda blasting, bout 15 years ago and been thinking about getting back into it.

I would expect 3-4 hrs @ $60/hr. Maybe 4-5 hrs with the grill & fenders. It might not actually take that long, I just like to plan for the worst. What about the frame? I can do that too. I blasted a ranger frame and it took 2 hrs if I remember correctly.

If I can help I usually do. Maybe by meeting half way, or even pick it up if I happen to be in the area. Ever get out to Commerce Twp? I'm out there quite often lately, and will be moving to Fenton in the near future. Just a couple of options.

FWIW, the work is done at Sun Steel Treating in South Lyon.

Thanks for the info. It'll take me a week or two to get the thing torn to pieces. Frame won't be used, just saving the body.

About how many hours for a 16' car trailer? No deck, no fenders, no lights to work around.
Do you also do primer/paint or just blasting?

Thanks and sorry for the hijack

ok no sweat, there are a couple guys that would be closer, but I'd support someone on the board first if possible

Who in brighton? May need some plastic or soda done in the near future also.

American Sandblasting,
9676 Northwest Ct
Clarkston, MI 48346-1743
Local: 248-625-1511

Hes done my dads '52 power wagon, 52 willies and a mil 3/4 ton trailer. He priced my tub at about $350 for my wrangler tub and I have a rino liner in it so it might be cheaper for you. Hes got a large building and I think he can fit a 20 ft trailer no problem.

I could refer you to one right by your house, but I would need bowling lessons first.
