Default 2 AWG wire, Underground

I need this for re-wiring the 100amp service panel to my garage. The old aluminum wire feeding it gave out and since I need to run about 80 plus feet so I could probably use almost 300 feet of wire or 80' feet of bundled if I can get it.

Thanks

I was in Black River Recycling yesterday and they have a bin with Aluminum wire and another with copper. There were some BIG rolls of large wire in there. I don't know if it's underground but if it's cheap enough you may be able to run it in conduit.

When I wired my barn from the house, it was cheaper to put std wire in plastic conduit than buy direct burial wire.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I have a large amount of PVC pipe so I'm going to use that as my conduit. This will save me a little bit of the cost of wire. I will check with black river recycling but I would be concerned with getting damaged wire but maybe they have a bunch of good stuff. Thanks again for the info.
