Follow the link Les gave. The maps are in pdf form and if you try to print them you'll need something better than your typical home printer. At 100% the South Map is 35" x 44". If you go smaller you'll need very good eyes. Best bet is to pick up some copies the next time your in Baldwin, or near another rander station. I haven't had a good chance to go over them yet, but from what I saw there were quite a few that went straight in and ended. You'll want to watch out for those before you get stuck at the end of a trail, or worse find yourself crossing over from legal trail to illegal without realizing it. But at least we'll know what's legal now. Might be fun to scout out some of the trails we haven't been on before.

Thanks for the info. Any idea when paper copies will be available? I had the opportunity to run some of the roads around Oak and 12mile-16mile this past w/e and alot of the roads that look like they dead end just link up to county seasonal roads that are not on the map. Also if you zoom into an area in the PDF file and print current view, the maps come out quite nicely.

I happened upon these maps by browsing the Fed site. Just thought I would thank you for posting this, and I'm not sure how I overlooked this post.

Default incomplete links

why are some of the 4 dig trails incomplete out to the more major unmarked lines of the map-those being the last 1-200 yards or so out to a more major north/south/east/west fire road etc? It seems there are 1/4 mile long trails going with no legal access out to roads.

For those folks looking for a paper copy of the MVUM for the Baldwin/White Cloud Ranger District, it is now in stock. You may pick one up at any Manistee National Forest office.

In Oct. stopped in the Cadilac office and got mine for the Baldwin district. The one for the Cadilac district wasn't available yet and as soon as it was they mailed it to me free of charge.
