If not I've got an empty seat

I'll set my camera in that seat so it's easy to grab & take lots of pics to show you what you missed

How do you go about joining a group to run with? I have met renagade II when buying stuff from him, but really don't know anybody else. I guess I will be the fat kid picked last

If it goes like last year, there will be sign up sheets with difficulty ratings for each run. This was done at SOFO's check in / participants briefing in one of the conference rooms. They were great at letting everyone know where / when everything was going on. I'd figure all that info would be in the mailing we'll be getting. I'm running sweep for Whiterhino's run

Yup, RenegadeII summed it up pretty good.

All joking aside, if you look a couple posts up at the pic of Clarkstoncracker, you will see why getting in with the right group is important. He's on 38" tires and locked front and rear with lots of horsepower. Can you imagine trying to follow him with a stock rig?

We won't really know how we will set up the groups until the week of the event and we determine how much snow is in the woods. If there is the same amount of snow as last year, we will organize one way. If the snow is lighter, we will do it a different way. The intent will be to try to allow everyone to have a challenging time without getting in over your head.

For those new to this, this event is there for EVERYONE. It doesn't matter if you are stock or built well, new to this or a veteran. It's all about the fun of getting a group together to wheel and have a good social time. If you are unsure of something, approach the SoFo organizers or a trail leader for discussion. We're there to have a good time.

Trust me on this, none of the organizers want you to have a bad time. No one will steer you into a situation just to make fun of you. (well, except for the example of the pic above) But again, seriously, that's a result of a group of well built rigs out challenging each other. We will give you the most honest advice we can.

One point that can't be stressed enough.Quality tow points front and rear are a must. A trailer hitch ball is unacceptable. I'll make it clear, you won't run in my group if you don't have quality tow points. You have 2 months to get them installed

RenegadeII was at my table and wanted the UA setup badly, and bought lots of tickets... if only he had bought 1 more

I still am slightly mad at him for getting me hooked on earlies... it means I may never finish my YJ.

I think we are even.

I procrastinated and did not send in my registration.

So if anyone backs out let me know.
