why dont you go take it for a test drive. he parks it next to his brother car in the garage. just dont slam the door when u go in the garage. open the garage door and put the truck in neutral and push it down the street before starting it. im sure he wont mind. just go really fast and kill the power and coast it into the garage. then you will see how big of peice of shit design it has.

untill then go do something that doesnt have to do with sitting online and bothering us.

all you do is bitch about how big of assholes we are and you still continue to come back and take the beating. so untill you put on your big girl panties and suck it up with out crying like a little bitch.

There in lies your answer. They 'look' okay to you, but you admit you know nothing about welding.

The welds are bad, not enough penetration and poorly done. Therefore they are dangerous. Period.

Design is using the springs in a manner they were not intended. Also a bad idea.

It may not break today or tomorrow, but those welds will fail.

I believe this picture speaks 1000 words....... all of them are FAIL....

Notice how the arch of the spring is holding pressure against the bolts? When those bolts are torqued down enough to flatten the spring out, there will be a stress point at each end of the plate. If the spring doesn't break there, the bolts will eventually back off from vibration unless lock-tited.

And thats if the spring only moves in it's normal motion, the twist forced be the link arm and side motion without a panhard bar will certainly cause spring failure.

x2. with the pics of the spring in them you can see the truck had some major axle wrap already in the past. he said he will get around to changing the springs sometime.

You web wheeler guys are all full of B.S. He's clearly over engineering it for safety's sake what with all that extra steel 'n all.
He'd really only need 2 bolts, one left and right of that axle tube and just drill through the springs and attach direct to the perch. They are grade 8 bolts afterall !

That in the picture above is basicly acting as the upper links and the springs of a 4 link system. But it will have lower link bars just like any other 4 link.

But without a panhard, it will allow side to side movement, as proved by a link posted in the Pirate thread.
