i also went with a small bike a klx 250...i useto ride a drz 400 then a xr 600 and a rm 250 and i tell ya what this little 250 is great...i bought it cause i wanted something light and nimble (like a 125 r race bike but dependable and it is sweet in the trails ( i ride single tracks mainly which is 24 inch wide) and it will do anything i want it to and then some...as far as street leagle if ya have any questions let me know i have done a "street leagle kit"on 4 differant bikes and it is so simple to do and can be done cheap.....a\
also check out the tech section on thumper talk there is alot that can be done for free or cheap as hell to get a bit more power

that little xr is a great bike and will last a long time
