Yeah.

Actually, what we should use is uranium. It's way more dense so we wouldn't have to use as much. How dangerous could it be? It comes out of the ground.

Nice analogy.
But that is why we use lead and not uranium

I gave up using lead weights on my tires. Went to BB's (copper were a lot cheaper than plastic) and so far so good. As I understand, the big rigs use a special sand inside the tires for balance. Same principle as BB's. And if you air down and spin the tire on the rim, it will still balance.

There were studies done throughout the 90's of Storm water run off along the US Highways. Lead was the most prevalent in the samples taken from diverted water that would normally go to the streams and ditches. Mill Creek in Grand Rapids is one of the these streams that has a real high lead content.

Will this amount of lead hurt us, or the environment? I don't know but someone thinks so.

Oh and Pete, maybe Lead did effect you..............you are actually a Conservative Christian, but the lead has you thinking like a liberal Agnostic. Sorry, couldn't help it.
Just think, agreeing with me on this might just make you a tree hugging liberal

BTW, I was baptized in a very conservative church in a conservative town. But that conservativism is balanced with social liberalism when it is beneficial to the whole community.

You are correct. Steel shot only, no more lead shot for waterfowl hunting.

Mercury is naturally occuring as well (in it's elements), you want a bowl for breakfast?

Funny how Mother Nature can regulate these harmful elements when it comes to the majority of drinking water, wonder why that is?

Oh well. I use tungsten for waterfowl hunting, works great. In many places lead is banned for use as sinkers, and in california lead is banned in some areas for hunting bullets. I am going to use some solid copper bullets this year for deer hunting.

Lets see, the liberals want to ban lead weights on wheels because its a heavy meatal and is hazardous. But the same liberals want to power cars with batteries. Batteries, lead, heavy metals. I wonder how much lead wil be let into the enviornment with one battery powered car wreck. Or how much lead waste will go into the water making all these batteries...Hmm

Steveo is doing his part this hunting season.....

stop adding logic to this. we need to jump on the liberal bandwagon, make instant decisions that make no sense, spend shit tons of money on these worthless ideas, then try to solve the problems we created by raising taxes.

The batteries in most electric cars are not lead acid batteries.

They may still have toxins in them though.

as long as the eco-boobs can classify it as "green" toxic waste then it will be fine.
