Default tj/yj front bumper

here is one I got done for a buddy, nothing fancy per his request. just a stubby with a stinger and d-ring tabs.

looks like a good job, but honestly, whats the point in a stinger like that? if you hit anything with it, its going to fold right up since its not suported by anything, it doesnt offer any protection, you cant pull or lift off of it...

I really only see two uses for them, either just to mount some lights to (better ways to do that) or a place to wrap a strap after use (which means the strap is commonly attached to thier front)

not bashing you or anything, just wondering why people run these so often?

stingers look cool bill and its all the craze right now.

you need to put one on your truck to be cool too.

He wanted it done to go to the badlands, and didn't get a chance to put the supports on, it will be gusseted, still working on where the winch is going to fit, so once I get that figured out, I will cut the gussets. the first one is always a learning curve for me

had them on a few previous trucks, but always made them triangulated back a bit, so they would at least hold up to a little bit of a hit (helped when I broke a tie rod and went straight up a tree, but not when I rolled backing off of the tree)

best use I had for them was something to lean against while standing on the bumper to work under the hood

if you park two close together you can hang a hammock they were never intended for use off road
