You should contact them and come out this weekend to help. They need some people with better built rigs. Mine has been in the garage getting redone so I have not had mine out there yet.

I'd love too. Unfortunately I have a half sided house, my wifes new DD XJ on the lift at JCR, and I need to deliver my old truck near Lafayette, IN this weekend.

I'm actually excited to hit these new parks in Michigan, my junk is ready... just out of time.

yes the owners have talked to the state and the state told them that everything sounds good. there is alot of campgrounds in the area. i live a not even a mile down the road an there is a camp ground called SomerSet Camp ground right next to my house. and there is Moscow Meadows campground down the road too.

That's good they have state (MDEQ, I assume) approval, but I was referring more specifically to township or city zoning approval. I'm not trying to be critical, but it's probably the most important detail. You don't want to have one weekend of fun and then be shut down for not securing the proper land use permit (if it's even necessary). This happened recently to another park. It becomes an entirely different ballgame between private and commercial use.

Hey guys I'm totally new to the off road thing but dove right in and got a 97 jeep grand cherokee that has a 41/2" rubicon lift, 33's and a bunch of other stuff I have no idea what it is. I live in coldwater and was wondering if it would be at all possible to come over there and have you guys show me how to drive this thing off road or at least point me into some easy trails I can try it on? I know it's alot to ask but I can't seem to find anywhere over here I can drive it. Thanks for any help or ideas. This is a great forum.
My jeeps not half bad it has a straight 6 with a banks torque tube headers, throttle body spacer, custom dual intake, MSD coil a wires, and custom exhaust. Seems to be a nice jeep. Would lie to buy a winch for it...Anyways sorry to highjack the thread!

2 main items you didn't list for your Jeep that are ESSENTIAL before going off-pavement.

1) Tow hook / tow points on front and rear of vehicle. If you have a 2" reciever you can get a clevis insert that will work nicely.

2) First Aid kit.

3) Recovery Strap (optional if you are confident someone else in the group will have one).

Don't leave pavement without these these very basic items.

I heared a rumor that if there is not a good turn out for
opening weekend, the park will be bankrupt.

Anybody know if there is any truth to this?
