a lot of carry guns don't have a safety other than internal so carrying them on a clip would not be a good idea. also the metal against the body is not comfortable and is sweaty.
I have a glock 26 with a IWB Don Hume holster
Kahr PM 45 OWB bionchi leather holster
I always carry one or the other. I prefer my Kahr but sometimes IWB is what will work best for the day.

you are a fucking retard...the gun wont fire unless you pull the trigger so whats the problem is it has an internal safety?

Isn't it posted that there are no firearms beyond a certain point?

Freakishly small might be the wrong choice of words. I have yet to meet an adult woman with a smaller hand than I. I know a few people with similar sized hands, but none smaller.

I assume you have the slim grip set and bushings.

One of the things I look for in a 1911 holster is the ear flap to cover the safety. For inside the waistband it's mandatory for me.

gratuitous Kimber porn added.

On edit, that holster is 17 years old.

So your ultra high dollar shinny name brand pistol concealed in an area that is not easy accessible is worthless.
Anything is better than nothing. If someone only wants to carry a bug in an ankle rig that is up to them. There are times (work) that I can't deal with carrying on the hip. Right now I don't have anything smaller, so a lot of times I don't carry at all.

Uh no holster means the trigger isn't covered. People carry like that every day, but not having leather over the trigger guard doesn't sit well with me with pistol with no external safety.

Any chance you can mount a holster under the desktop where you sit and work? I picked up a few kydex holster bodies for my 1911 and installed them in a few different places where I cant access my IWB holster easily. You might even be able to install one of the biometric type gun safe/lockers under your desk, easily accessible and secure at the same time.

I would have to install a safe under my desk. The holster deal wouldn't work, my desk is open underneath to my customers. Also, I get up and move around enough that I wouldn't want to have it unlocked anywhere near my desk. The safe is something I have considered.

I'm curious... What do you do for a living that you need to pull a gun?

I carry a Ruger LCP in a pocket holster in warmer weather. I also have a Kahr CW9 and a Titanium Taurus .38. I carry under my arm in a shirt with special pockets on either side. When it is colder out and I am wearing a jacket I carry a Beretta PX4 .40. They finally have the compact PX4 available and am considering one of those soon not sure if it comes in a .40 though.

I'm curious....why is it that you think I need to have a specific occupation to be armed in order to protect myself should the occasion rise? Are you going to protect me? The police? I hope I never have to "pull my gun".

Since you would like to know, I work in an office in a not so great area that has an pretty good amount of foot traffic. I also leave the office and inspect the interiors of homes in an equally as wonderfiul local.

AMT Backup .380 (for sale), want to get Ruger LCP.

Usually in a pocket holster in cargo shorts or an IWB holster in the front of my pants or shorts.

Ankle carry doesn't conceal well, and is uncomfortable as hell.

In the winter I'll carry my XDM in either the paddle holster or IWB holster.

Looking at a Walther PPS in the future for something in between the XDM and small .380.

My .380 is extremely comfortable to wear. It doesn't poke me anywhere, moves with me, and doesn't stick into my leg. It is as natural as having my wallet in my back pocket.
