Default Best Aftermarket Big Block Head

I am asking for a friend what are some of the best aftermarket alum. heads for a built 460. He wants 7000 rpm and to make around 700-800hp. He can spend $2000-$4000 Thanks for any suggestion....

Need more details. Just 460 cu? Fuel type? Headers and intake a concern? 7000rpm isn't much to ask, and MANY of the BBF heads available will make those kind of numbers with the correct combo.

All i know is he has good Eagle rods...the exhaust will be zoomers out the top he will buy the necessay intake and carb needed, 110 or more octane......strickley racing, no street use, for mud racing only.....just looking for some names to research....thanks

The Kaase P-51's have my vote.

s.hembree is correct, Many iron BBF heads are good to 7000/700 with larger valves and good porting.

Tell him to stop being a puss and money up for the good stuff :)

Does he already have the short block done? the pistons used will dictate what heads can be used. If he hasn't bought pistons yet I would run the Trick Flow A460 heads. They will EASILY make the numbers he's looking for and give some room to grow. Another thing to consider is any rules he may have to follow when racing. Some classes will only allow standard port configurations etc... I can offer some better and more specific suggestions if you can come up with some details...
