Default Every thread marked as unread?

How come today when I logged in every single thread was marked as unread, even the ones that had the last post before I logged out last time?

You will notice the new "unread posts" in the top right. They were all reset.

BTW, there is also an option under "quick links" to mark all forums as read.

Are we going to have to keep marking posts as read? Cause I did it last night, and it appears as though I'm having the same issue today.

If this is permanent, I'd rather we roll back to the old way :-\

You're the first to have that problem.

How are your cookies? Two different computers?

Yea, 3 diff computers (iphone, work laptop, home laptop).

it's always seemed to do pretty good with read/unread in the past though.

OK, I just did a little experiment.

I clicked Log Out (which claims it clears all cookies, you tell me if it does CC). Then I logged back in.

The Unread count in the corner was cleared (was at zero, at 2 as I type this), but old posts were still marked as unread. Ones from 12:28pm, where I've visited numerous times since then.

I haven't used any other computers since I posted about my issue.

Dear CC,

Fix our regular unread message indicator before you dick around with the unread posts count thingy in the upper right hand corner.

I have an Idea, Can you put a "marked all post read button up in the corner under the unread post button. that would make it easyer for people to hit that when they are done looking.

Or how about make it work like it used to and automatically clear unread marks after each visit.
