Chris, Can you write in ohio too?
well my entire family was with the same agent for many years. total we had 9 cars, 3 houses, a business and misc stuff. i personally had 3 vehicles and home insurance with him. I made an appointment to go see the agent to discuss a stated value policy on my YJ so that if something happened to it I could simply build another. I wanted a $25k policy and had receipts to back up all expenses. basically he told me that the limit on the vehicle was $2500 and there was no way to prove the amount I wanted to insure it for even with receipts??? (a stated value is different that an appraised street value) I told him to get bent.

I found through a reference a new insurance agent who was a citizens rep. I told him what I wanted for a policy on the YJ, he said no problem, met with me, got an appraiser, reviewed receipts and got me a great policy. I asked him to review my other policies I had with state farm. when he reviewed the homeowners policy it stated in there that although the policy was claimed it was covering the entire amount of the mortgage there was some fine print that absolved state farm from paying more than 1/4 the total policy value.

I was pissed. I called the state farm agent and he told me (laughing) "yeah I can take that clause out if you are unhappy with it.

never again will I deal with state farm.

Also just so you guys know that are thinking about trying to get your insurance on your house and cars lowered, I don't need your social security number.

Just Name, address, phone, birthdate, DL#, Current carrier,
Make, model, year or vin.

Chris Rogers is full of win. My family has been doing business with the same agent for 30+ years. Recently my Insurance has been going up drastically through state farm. I've called repeatedly trying to get them to lower my rates. They told me to pound sand and there is nothing that they can do. Chris will be saving me around $1000/ year. I feel like an asshat for staying with state farm for so long knowing for the past few months that I was getting raped. I'm currently trying to get my whole family to switch their insurance to Chris (dad, mom, brother, and sister). Thanks Chris!

Hey guys, I'm just wrapping up the last of you that asked for quotes on insurance. I was able to save a lot of you a lot of money, some not but that's to be expected.

I was floor at how many of you had the attitude of, "hey if you can save me money I'll change, I'll always try to help out people on this site first." Just an awesome group of people. Thanks again guys.

I would hope he bought lunch. How many years was he chargeing you $1000 more than was necessary? If you never ask would he have continued to charge $1000 a year more?

You wouldn't believe how often I hear that. I think people get sold on the mushy slogans like, "we're on your side" and "you're all that really matters" then figure that's worth a grand a year. When really you're paying for their advertizing. Everything they will do is in writing, same as the other companies.

An apples to apples quote is soooo worth it!

I can do it for you, and don't need a ss#

Insurance is the biggest scam in this country. Funny thing is its legal. The other funny thing is we have all become complacent about getting screwed by insurance companies, and have been convinced, of forced, into buying insurance.

The oldest profession is alive and well......

Even with an accident on my wifes record and a few points on my record, Chris was able to save me almost 30% on auto and home.

Thanks Chris

I've been with Citizens for about 5 years now, they just rewrote my policy for my auto coverage, it dropped it by 40%. I've been happy with them since I made the switch.
