Default oops

So I'm redoing the floor in our family room and it's on a concrete slab.
got old carpet up, and pulled out a gazillion concrete nails that held the TRIPLE tack strips down causing a ton of small holes.
That along with the 40 year old adhesive residue on the floor creating ridges and a few cracks I'm using a crack filler/patch skim coat underlayment.

I mix up the bag of it, and get to work, after 5 minutes i get the technique down and start moving along, get not quite half the area i'm doing done stick the trowel in to get some more and keep going and thunk twang

yeah, so i need to go get more mix and a new bucket as I now have 20lbs of cement mix in my old one

I removed some glued down carpet in my basement and thought I would never get the glue up but, I found carpet glue remover and it all came up with a putty knife.

KrudKutter adhesive remover is the least toxic. Found at Menards.

Other than that, most any "adhesive remover" for carpet glues, etc will work dandy. Should be in or near the paint or flooring department of Lowes, Home Depot, Menards, True Value, Ace etc.

becoming a dad doesn't leave you much free time
and THC is most likely not great for infants to be around

You wont buy quick setting mix this time around, will you?

Vinegar will work too for getting up the adhesive. Takes longer, but will do the job and no worries about toxicity.

Just ask the guy in the flooring department in home depo.
The stuff I bought did not smell too bad and I was on my knees breathing it for 8+ hours.
It was a gel and could be scraped up and re-applied.
