My in-laws live on 6th, their house and taho both took a hit
It took me 1.5 hours to get into Fruitport yesterday to check on them.

Yeah just went down there to go see TrailFantic and roads are clear but busting a hump to get lines together there. Yeah saw those houses that got hammered, that sucks.

The inlaws didn't suffer much damage, they were lucky.
(their neighbors caught a 2.5' dia tree center roof that sank into the walls 3')
the tahoe took the hardest hit, now missing the rear window and the
drivers side/rear/top corner is crushed in, there is also a giant dent
above the drivers rear wheel.
They had a tarp over it when I went by today.

Hard to see stuff like that. I've got two trees that tower over my home and I'm always worried that some storm will drop them onto my roof.

We live in the woods and I keep waiting for one to come down on the house. We got just over 10 inches of rain over the weekend. The ground is saturated. Southern Lapeer county is now officially a swamp!

about 60 pics and 1/5 had significant light or lightning, pretty easy storm to take pics in, especially considering I was just sitting at the kitchen table haha. A line went down or a transformer exploded a few blocks away, tons of green light on the horizon but those pics didnt turn out to well

ha, it's a cannon powershot point and shoot set to night mode, drive mode set to continuous so I could get 3 pics off in about 1.2 seconds, and the flash off. Other than that, it's all "stock". I swear it is by far the best point and shoot you can buy. Every picture I have posted on this website has been from that camera. Sometimes I play around with the focus and shutter settings, but usually it is just set to auto or sport mode for action shots.

here are some of my favorite shots from that camera

landscape mode with manual focus
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...t/IMG_7282.jpg

action setting with an even faster shutter speed. the picture is decieving from this angle, which I didn't like, but ther ewas no way to get lower. The falls at that point are about 15' long
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...t/IMG_7273.jpg

just auto setting

someday I hope to have a nice camera.

We are roughly 9 miles from where "S" hit the fan and only got heavy rain and some slightly significant wind.
