Default Only one I will ever buy!!!

Long story short when the wifes ALT went out Sat I put a new one in and it was running like shit, I thought maybe because the battery was still drained. I took the Autozone Duralast Gold out of my truck and put it in hers and it still ran bad (Fuel Pump) (Yes she killed ALT and FP same day) so I put my battery back. Sunday morning she drives my truck to work and back 50mile round trip headlights on in the morning. Last night she goes to the store 12 mile round trip with headlights on. She comes home and says my radio shuts off for a split second when she turns brights on. I am not to concerned until I drove it to the same store today and my radio keeps cutting out every time I step on the brakes. So I get home and I am looking for a loose ground or something that would cause that and low and behold I see I did not attach the alternator wire when I hooked my battery back up...outstanding fucking product, that truck drove 75 miles and 37 of them was with the headlights on with just the power from the battery!!! I want to see an optima do that

I think I paid like $89 for it 2 years ago. I hear they are the exact same battery as the Die Hard Platinum, made by the same company just different case and renamed as a Duralast gold for Autozone.

Actually, any decent battery should be able to do that.

NOT...I am 40yrs old and have had many many alternators die on me and at night with the lights on I was lucky to get 10 miles down the road before I was calling for a ride! Not to mention the 75 miles this thing drove but it also started the truck 7 times!

Sears Die-Hard Platinum, it's a private label Odyssey 1500

Odyssey and teh like are the only batteries to buy. I had an optima and I wasnt thrilled with it. I'm putting an Odyssey 925 in my next vehicle, tiny and powerful.

Got a duralast in the wife's Benz, it sat for a year with a broken timing chain before I saved up the coin to fix it, a 24hr sloiw charge and it came back to life fine and started the car up even on the coldest mornings, even after sitting a week.

I've gone that far or farther twice before. If you only made it 10 miles beforeyou must have had a bad battery.

Did you also do it with your headlights on and stop your car and restart it 7 times?

I have the Duralast red top battery, I think it's a step down from the Gold series. It works great, I've killed it many times and it keeps going.

I'm still thinking that if you have multiple wires stuck into the battery clamps that hook up seperatley, you need to replace the battery clamps and do it right
