Default Does anyone do this in the midwest or Canada?

Fairly serious question.

Any groups that do this within a 10 hour drive (TN, KY area or Canada?)

That is some of the coolest boat racing I have ever seen. Those single seaters looked scary!

Ive seen one of those races before. It was in a residential canal system that linked peoples homes to a lake. They were flying past out moored house boat in this narrow canal at 50-60 mph. Stupid fast little things, and they could turn on a dime. Kind of scary seeing them fly by 10 feet in front of your boat though.

i like the boat at 3:30 with the forward mounted wings, i doubt they're driver controlled but at what point does it become an airplane race? lol

Canal races would be no fun. I want to see them in white water.

The mini hydroplanes have races throughout Michigan, those jet drive river boats I have no idea, it always seemed more like an 'out west' type of thing.

Some dude on pirate posted up some builds of recreational versions, pretty sweet stuff:

jetboatracing.com doesn't show anything in the midwest, it's all on the west coast.
