Default GI Joe

Anyone go see it?

I am debating taking the fam, but I can't quite tell from the previews weather it will be kickass action, or goofy. Some of the previews made it look like they threw a one liner in every chance they got, and I get tired of that crap.

Ya know what, take the family. Even if the movie sucks ass.. it's still time with the people you care about.

Are you seriously worried? If you've ever watched the cartoon the entire series was ridiculous and off the wall, but it was fun.

If you're looking for good dialog, non-ridiculous plots and tech that appear to be somewhere within the realm of plausibility (AKA Power Suits) then I would suggest going to see movies that aren't based on a childs cartoon.

It was a little campy but it wasn't too bad.

I'm gonna go see it on Tuesday. My local theater has $5 movies every tuesday, all day and night. I'll get to see a flick, and tons of moon crickets acting like domesticated animals. Win/Win.

I'm taking my sons on Tuesday ($5 movies). I never was a GI Joe fan so I have no preconceived notions of how the movie should be. Worst case scenario I'm out $15.

I'll report back after seeing the show. :)

Call me what you will, but I was that kid. Loved G.I. Joe, and was a little hesitent about the movie at first, but its not bad. Ya its a little far fetched at times, but what do you expect? Besides, the Scarlet character is even hotter than the cartoon version

i loved the cartoon version. what's killing me is those suits. what I liked in the cartoon was that the outfits were simple, yet effective. is destro in the movie? does he have the chrome head? I heard he was in there leading cobra which sux cause originally he was the arms supplier to cobra.

Ya it all comes together in the end. Cobra and Destro dont become those characters till the very end of the movie. Detro is still the supplier of the weapons of Cobra, but in the beginning he is a designer of a manufacturing company, that supplies arms for the world, and Cobra is his head scientist.

Ya I'm with ya on the suits. Those were the only two moments of the movie that I had a beef about. The suits, and the damn fake motorcyle stunt riding. That stuff kinda ruins it for me. I could have done without the whole suit and bike scene. But hey, I'm just a jerk off, not a movie producer
