Default Wheres the good fishing in Genesee County?

Me and a friend of mine have been doing some local fishing when we can. So far, we've just been to Lobdell, down into Bennett and Hoisington. We havent done much in Hoisington, but Lobdell and Bennett, we havent caught a damn thing in. A couple bites but thats about it. Seen nothing but bait fish. I know there are big ones in there cause they show up on the fish finder, but they dont want to bite anything.

I was just wondering if the fishing is good on Lake Fenton, Silver Lake, Kearsley Lake, Dickson Lake.. (If we can fish that, looks like theres a launch but I dunno.)

Any lake we can put a boat in, gimme some info on where to fish them.

Hoisington is good for night topwater smallies. Bennet has big bullheads at the river mouth just after dark.

That said, a DNR fisheries biologist I talked to a few weeks ago said inland lake fishing sucks statewide, and will likely do so the rest of the season, due to the cool weather this summer...Global warming my ass.

X2 Bass and pike fishing has definetly been off everywhere I have gone this year! no big strikes and alot off fish have been following baits in and only hitting them if you stop realing for a moment not very aggressive thats for sure!

Yeah, we've been heading out without much luck.

So far, I've caught a couple average bass, and one fat bass threw my hook when he jumped out of the water. One REALLY nice pike cut my line with one of my spinner baits in his mouth after he jumped out of the water too, and I had another pike come off the hook about 2 feet from the boat.

I suck

Is there good fishing in Genesee county? Private ponds are the only place I have caught anything in years unless you like carp fishing, then I know some fun places.
