Default House Health Reform Bill Cliff Notes - Now With Senate Link Too

A 35 page outline of the health reform bill in the House.

Take some time to skim through this and then get details in the long form:

The plan sucks. It's comunism not even solcialism. You will recieve a fine, tax penelty or whatever else you want to call it if you as an individual or as an employer dosen't pay money to an insurance company for a medical insurance plan.
Thats bullshit
The government is telling you you have to purchase something from a private company or they (the government) will penilize you...

WTF

Yeah I saw that, that looks like descrimination to me. Also it dosen't change the fact they are forcing you to purchase from a private company. It's bullshit.
Who is going to pay for all of this?????

They keep saying people can't afford insurance. so we are going to force everbody to purchase what they can't afford.

If you can't afford to purchase what you can't afford, we will supply it to you with the money we get from you???????

Do you realize how stupid this sounds, and thats exactly the plan....

Oh I almost forgot, if you don't purchase what you can't afford we will fine you more than the purchase of what you can't afford....

F**kin nuts

How about bringing in more competition and lower prices that way.

I have not read everything in the bill, and it sounds like you haven't either.

Off topic, but not worthy of it's own thread; Just wondering who we will be shooting at/ who will be shooting at us in the upcoming revolution? Military vs civilians? Civilians vs police? I just need to know who to shoot at

I ask this partly because all of the current administrations policies are a direct attempt at turning our country into a third world country. Sprinke sugar on a turd and it's still a fucking turd.

As I've said before, you can't compete with the government. They have endless pockets.
The only group that can have a true monopoly is the government.

My only question is if this is such a grand idea why do they (Congress, Senate, etc.) want to retain their existing insurance?

Why don't they want to hop on this awesome fucking program?

They should. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

But, you have to remember, the goal of this plan is BASIC health care, affordable and available to all.

There would be upgraded plans available, at a premium, within the program.

Heres a two sentence answer to the health care reform bill.

If you want insurance like I have, go pay for it. If you don't pay for it you can't have it......

How about the government supply health care to the ones that need it, according to thier income and leave it at that

i know we are never gonna agree on this or many other topics, thats ok it takes all kinds!

what has the government ever done well, or better then the private sector?
the va is a joke! medicare is broke! i dont wanna rely on them for my health care. many of the people that are currently uninsured choose to be uninsured(i do). i stocked up on all my familys meds and cancelled my insurance for 1 year to save money when my wife lost her job. i will be insured again in january by my own choice. i have read about 20% of the bill, and i see nothing good in it.

this is a big mistake.

And did you know that you and your family are in the group of people that are the 40 some odd million americans that do not have health care, and that is what obama tells others to convince them that the poor people that can not afford health insurance.
If it saves you money in the mean time why not, your choice, according to the health plan you will have no choice, join or be taxed accordingly. Welcome USSA

I wish that you (and me and everyone else) didn't have to put themselves one medical emergency away from financial ruin to get by. I've done it before and survived, but I would pay extra now to not have to do it again.

I wish there was insurance against government intrusion.
It's the only one I would gladly pay for.
