Default 5.4L Starter Problems

So my starter quit tonight, again. The truck is a 1997 F-150 4x4. The factory ford starter died in 2007. I replaced it with a napa starter (closest parts store). The starter died again in a few months. They warrantied it. The starter lasted until last July then it gave up again. Napa warrantied it and said I needed to change the starter relay motor which I did. It lasted a year and my warranty is still good. This is insane, 1 motorcraft starter lasted 137,000 miles, 3 napa starters last 28,000. Should I be looking for a different problem? I'll put another napa on it since it's under warranty but I am just looking to see if anyone else is having similar problems.

I guess I should have added that. The alternator and battery has been replaced on the truck and that was prior to the first starter. The truck is charging fine and all the power options in the truck are working fine.

This was it. The connection just snapped off though. Usually they get corroded as you mentioned and become brittle. This one was a clean break. It also happened without the truck being driven in a couple weeks.
