Good! My buddy called me last night to tell me what he was seeing on WZZM 13 in G.R. reporting on the C. for C. program. It made us sick. I don't even want to think about how many good trucks (and cars) are getting crushed because people bought into this propaganda.......(Just sharing my opinion)

I hate the Government.

Suspended, not ended.

I really wish people would get the story straight before posting. And the rest of you might want to look further before believing everything posted.

Sorry for the mistype. Read the title of the thread and the last word of the post....

I know the ins and outs of the program. Again, sorry for the typo. The title does indeed say SUSPENDED and I said SUSPENDED at the end of the post.....

BTW, when did the local newspaper become 100% rendition of the truth.

so they are out of portioned tax dollars to hand to these dealers, or close to it.
really this is just another example of rushed attempts without thinking.
why don't they just borrow more money, raise taxes to trash good vehicles or just print more money. they don't seem to care about anything else spending wise, why care about this? remember these same people are going to be in charge of whether you can have an asprin, live or die over their rushed heath care scam.

maybe it would have been better to just offer a pro-recycling tax refund on cash spend at junkyards on used parts.

News on CH 53 in Lansing said Stabanaw is wanting more funding to keep program going. If its really out of money like they were saying it might be then I see more money and parts being wasted on this crap.

On the radio this morning they said the free press was wrong, the program is still going. I'd think it has to be getting close though. 1billion is good for ~250,000 vouchers. Or they'll just let it run and say "oops".

The program was scheduled to last through Nov. 1 or until the money ran out, but few predicted the fund would run out so quickly. The $1 billion in funding would provide up to 250,000 new car sales.
I read several reports of dealers thinking the money would run out in a week.

Quote:
Earl Stewart, who owns a Toyota dealership in North Palm Beach, Fla., said the changing messages on the program has created confusion among his customers and his staff. Stewart's accounting department also could only enter about a dozen of the 47 sales he made into the government Web site set up to handle the transactions, leaving him wondering if he will get refunded for the remaining vouchers.
Its all clear now...this is actually a way to screw over all other dealerships and leave Government Motors in power. Obama does know what he is doing.
Now where did I put my tin foil hat

For the consumer this program is a good deal, but I think the dealers are going to hurt. If a ton of people buy new cars now, it means they won't buy a car for a while which will cause low sales in the future and less money for everybody in the car business.

I spoke about a half hour ago with one of my customers who is also a dealership manager and he told me that since the program started they haven't been paid on a single vehicle sold under this program telling me they are getting stuck and hard.
