Default Finally a boat owner

Well kayaks at least . Inlaws have four kayaks and we normally go out on the river every year around the 4th of July. Wife and I have really been wanting our own so that we can get out more often.

Well last Sunday we pulled the trigger on two new kayaks. Got a couple Perceptions from Earth's Edge in Grand Haven. Wife got a 11.5' Arcadia and I got a 12' Sundance (sounds so gay). I got to try both of them Sunday morning and really like both. Wife's is very, very stable but still glides and turns really well. Mine glides better than hers and still turns really well. Little more tippy but I like the open cockpit and seat in mine better.

Perception is a great brand. I bought a carbon fiber paddle for my 16ft Prijon Seayak at Earths Edge, that's a great place to buy gear.

Got to take them on the Bestie River near Crystal Lake last week. Took a little to get used to, small river with a decent current and lots of dead fall. But boats worked and the wife had fun.
