Default Would you pay 2 grand for it

My neighbors 5th wheel burned in his pull barn fire. He was gonna turn it into a gooseneck but his father in law bought one. He said he sell it to me for 2 grand. Its a 5th wheel, 18ft long and is already stripped of the camper shell. Its pretty much just the trailer frame and he just put two brand new 8,000 gvw axles on it with new tires and rims. Is it worth 2 grand

id say no. but i dont know the value of trailers.
but i say that because it doesnt matter if the new axles are new or 20 years old.
if it was that bad of a fire you are going to need to rebuild it to replace the seals anyway. and what about any busshings in the suspension? they will need replacement also.

i would look for a pos trailer of the same style and strip it to get to the same point the burned trailer is at but with out all the fire.

i wouldnt.. as stated the fire couldve heated and fatigued that metal.. and im sure a Camper trailer frame is not meant for heavy hauling..

I would say it's not worth $2000 - Above is a better deal for $1200
