Default ATV Engine work

I have a 87 suzuki 4wd ATV that needs a little engine work. I had it going a last year however I can't get it started now. I have spark however, I think the timing maybe out or it may need a valve job. If anyone works on small engines let me know.

sounds like the carb is gunked up from sitting!

I just rebuilt the carb. It won't even start when I but gas in the head.

Have you done a compression test? If so have you done it wet and dry?
