Anybody on here do professional paint/bodywork?

looking to possibly get some quotes on painting my 72 nova, the clear coat is peeling on the top of the car... hood, roof, trunk lid... looking to have the paint/ bodywork "freshened up" there are a few spots on the body that im currently taking care of, so it'll pretty much be ready to spray other than maybe some final prep work... but it's black with red racing stripes, and i have almost all the clear coat wet sanded and feathered out with 400 grit, then planning on going back over the whole car with 800... let me know if you can do a professional job and ballpark figure.. not looking for a show car finish, just something that looks right and shines. might want to change the color of the stripes as well...

not sure if its laquer or enamel.. i did spray some laquer clear on it, without anything bad happening, just to test it out... and $8000?.. ouch. can't swing that at the moment, though im sure it would be the best thing.

I'm saving up $ to get my new car repainted. It spent a few years baking in the sun on a farm in Bad Axe. Just bought this for $200.

Yes can do.

You name the price and the final product will accomodate the price.

You know how it goes, you get what you pay for.

You can get it done for $1000 but the $8000 job will by far be nicer.

So you name the price and I can get it done.

I can show you some previous work also.

i do not what to thread snipe here, but does anyone in SE Mich have interest in prepping and painting 2 road armor bumpers for an 08 f350?

they have been in my garage for a year, but i have not mounted as the previous owner had the inside of the bumpers rhino lined, so powder coating isnt an option. So i was hoping just to color match the factory trim and lay a few extra coats of clear!

PM me if you might be interested with a price. I can bring the bumpers to you (within reason).

Thanks

well I may have under guessed the price a bit. he said it more then likely be closer to $10K, the up side is you would have a real show quality job. he just had one in the Hemi Nations display at Cobo this year.
