Me and my son went to see it for father's day. I thought it was pretty good and if you see the movie there is a reason for the swap in the mustang.

See, its funny, because most american motor-heads don't really know about the GOOD japanese cars, because they are never imported over here, due to RHD issues, or emissions, or simply the OEMs don't import them.

As a nation, I think Japanese are at least as much into making fast cars as the US.

The Skyline is probably one of the best sports cars ever made. High revving inline 6s (8000 rpm or more), twin turbo, STOUT driveline, RWD biased all-wheel drive system with active diffs.

As I mentioned, the last ones they sold, which were actaully used ones, stripped and rebuilt, were ~500 hp 2.8 liter twin turbos. They ran low 10 second quarter miles with 130+ mph trap speeds..

They are bring a Nissan Skyline to the US in a year or so, it will be Nissan badged, not Infiniti as originally planned. Expect a destroked 3 liter VQ engine (like the 3.5 in the 350Z) twin turbo, about 450hp. Will be a monster.

I wish they had sold the Silvias here, instead of the 240SX that we ended up with...those are the popular drive cars. Skylines (well, the GT-Rs, anyway..) are 4wd, not so drift happy. I suppose they could use a GT-S which is RWD..

I live my life quarter mile at a time.........................bwahahahaha. Well all of you know that I am a jap ass some of you may not know I grew up in japan until I was 17. As a young little chubby kid (that ate alot of ramen noodles) about 14 years old I would always go to at late night/early morning yokohama to watch the illegal drift racing. Hehe wow that was 16 years ago I am getting old. Any who they really didnt do any drifting in Tokyo just str8 racing there. I havent seen the movie but man I saw so many insane things like 7 cars drifting side by side only few inches away, cars drifting down mountains, alot of cool shit, hehe that what made me built my mr2 that was fun drifting in

It worked fine for me, quality sucked but it was good enough to keep me from spending $8.50
