X12084313208941032948!!!

The fact that you use TWO d-rings only multiplies the problems...

Anyway

Best wishes to his friends and family... to the memory of a fellow wheeler who lost his life having fun with his friends

May God comfort all those who are suffering through this tragedy

I've decided:

If I die at a fire I want a fire truck to carry my casket to the cemetery.

If I die four-wheeling I want a Black Rubi to take my casket to the cemetery.

That is all....

That is sad news indeed. My best wishes go out to his widow and friends. This is a very unfortunate incident. Be careful when you are out there and know there is always a danger. If I were to die at any moment I hope it is doing something that I love. Best wishes to you ddstrunt!

I'll leave all recovery comments for a recovery type thread.

It's not the D ring or shackle that fails.

it's one strap.

Straps are designed to strech then recoil. add weight to the end and it can be deadly. A strap alone will mess you up good.

you can draw blood with a towel being snapped at you.

Imagine the force that strap has.... now ad a hunk of metal to the between two of them. if one strap fails, all that recoil foce acts like a giant slingshot for the d-ring/ shackle.

Gotta be the most stupid post since....ummm....one of VWMAN's post about him picking his ass at a Kiss concert.

You really have no idea why D-Rings are not to be used in this case. :miff:

2 d-rings is just twice as dumb, you will gain nothing from it. I would be willing to bet that any strap would break before a d-ring broke. maybe you should stop talking.
