Default Race Gas

Just bought a '03 RM250 and haven't run any gas thru it yet. I can get 100 octane race gas from the pump locally. Would there be any benefits to run that over the regular premium pump gas (93 octane)?

Not unless you've bumped up the timing or compression to take advantage of the higher octane.

Higher octane is actually more resistant to ignition. That's how you can compress it more without it "preigniting" (detonation, "pinging"). Without having an engine set up for higher octane, the only thing you're doing is lightening your wallet.

Use premium unless you have trouble. Before you go to 100, make sure all your jetting areas are not lean. That'll make you rattle a bit.

I would not suggest castor oil for a recreational 2 stroke with a powervalve.

(unless you like working on sticking powervalves)
