Ohh that is ok cuz you paid admission to the king to get in........Funny how that works huh. Good luck guys, I hope you get out of this mess, but in the end they will win.....using our tax dollars in the process. Sweet Freedom eh........
See, I can agree to an extant with this. As I build my rig to go to parks more so now, but being that there is better terrain at parks then what you find in the woods in MI. But I take my Family out every Sunday for a Sunday drive and we go all over on these trails to enjoy the outdoors. Always find ourselves someplace getting ice cream or eating dinner some place new. My family enjoys its, and if people don't want to deal with the hassle then the trails will get shut down. The Forrest belongs to us, as responsible citizens of the US. Being why we care to clean up the trash that those dump there, or as we will stand up against the hassle to say what is ours and not just say screw it and go to the park. You may wish to just go to the park, but I know lots of people with stocks jeeps that just like enjoying the outdoors and enjoy these trails and would be upset if these trails were closed.
Trails like these is what where trying to keep open, and argue with these trails being open that it would be a positive influence on the economy, as people buy gas, food, snacks and hotel rooms and car parts, which all help to stimulate the economy. Tell me if there was a two track that went from where ever you are all the way up north or south you wouldn't want to take it? It's like the bike path that has gain so much popularity in the last few years, and look at how much use goes in that and not to mention how much tax money into maintaining it. Like what $2m last year? Well a lot of local business have been effected by the bike path in great ways and they welcome the foot traffic it generates. And I could only expect the same from those smaller towns that are surrounded by trails in the national Forrest. As they were very friendly and welcomed me on several occasions as I came in off a trail to get gas and snacks for the family.
This may seem like just 4 people who got tickets on a trail, but this is more then just about them, as this happens all over the US and this can be a small step in helping the great cause of opening trails for people to ride as it is our forest and we are willing to put in the work to ensure it stays our forest.

If you're doing something illegal, you should get a ticket. If you're not doing something illegal, you shouldn't worry about any DNR or other law enforcer reading what you're doing.

If they write you a ticket for legal wheeling, post it here, go to court, and get a judge ruling in your favor.

I can't think of one single time in the last five years I was wheeling somewhere and I thought "I hope DNR aren't around here"

People shouldn't fear the government, and if they think the laws are inappropriate, you should petition to change the law, not to bitch at the enforcer.
I cant agree more CC I am Just Glad that the 4 of us that got the tickets are playin this smart we arnt saying anything we are just waiting for our day in court and i hope that everyone on here talking about this and say they support us PLEASE DONT say anything bad about the DNR or the USFS they are out there to do a job and i understnad that I just Hope everyone else does also

Thankyou

And we wonder why the off-road community has the reputation for being toothless hilljacks with a 3rd grade education.

I refuse to knock the guy for doing what he did. My typing and grammar may be better but I would do the same if I lived near there.

Thanks awlchevy.

Kind of sucks, doesn't it? And after I heard that the trail these people were ticketed on was the same trail that a bunch of people spent a day on cleaning up, it made me.. well, surprised.

I agree, this is not the place to be judging people on their grammar. I thought that this thread was for the gents that got tickets and those who wanted to help out, it has now turned into a slam on those who want to slam others on spelling and such. Just because a few of us cant type as good as others u feel that u must "help" us by tearing them down. If u dont have anything to say that will help our situation or get our tickets thrown out please dont make off topic comments.

thanks

I should have the paypal account set up by this weekend so we can start taking gifts to help the cause.
(I was told to use the wording "gifts" not "donations" for legal reasons.)

Instead of taking that route, I would get with UFWDA or GLFWDA and use the services of Carla. GLFWDA pays megabucks to UFWDA each year, and this would be nice if we could actually use her.
