Default 98 Corvette Convertible

Im on the fence about selling this, but just bought a defender 90 and probably dont need both of these in the driveway.

98 Corvette Convertible with 98k miles. 6 Speed. Runs perfect.
-Has new top and brand new tires (3 weeks old) BFG KDW 2s.
-The only mods on it are a dual cone intake and (beneli?) exhaust. The PO put the exhaust on and it sounds awesome. Not as aggresive as a Borla, but in the higher RPM range, it has a great pitch.
-Has Z06 wheels and the new tires
-all options except HUD. Has the Boss sound system with 12 disc CD
-Paint is excellent, has 2 small chips in the back drivers side and a tiny little crack about an inch long under the running light on the pass side.
-Interior is nice. The center consol top has a tiny tear in it. These are like $70 to replace from a dealer or aftermarket site.
-The PO told me it had a new clutch, but it feels like the pressure plate may be wearing out. Will most likely need a new clutch in the next 10k miles.

Looking to get $16,000 or best offer. Call with questions (216) 704-0440 Dave Located in Columbus, OH.

hmmm tempting, very good price. Only trouble is that my bank will not finance a car that is older then 7 years. Will have to try and find someone that does and with a 5 year term. Will have to check out insurance payments also.

Insurance is actually very low on these. (due to the fact that most owners are 50 yr old men that never drive or wreck them) I have full coverage (since I was 25) for around $700 annually, cheaper than my BMW or 4Runner where. I use Allstate, check it out.

Financing is a PITA on older cars, but there are places that do it.

Was going to get one of the new Camero's until I found out what the insurance was going to be for one of those..lol. $700 annual seems a bit low for a Corvette, that is about 1/2 of what I pay for full coverage on my XJ annually

Well I also have a good driving record, but insurance is based on statistics. The number of cars like that that are wrecked and how much money insurance companies lose for model type. Corvettes just dont get wrecked (or driven) that often. You figure, most corvettes are in the garage all winter also, so 8-10 months of driving instead of 12.

Seems like a really reasonable price - especially compared to what you see on the Corvette forums. Here's a bump for you.
