well that's overdressed (assuming they aren't carpenter jeans) for fast food, you appear to be a threat to the management.

Sag your shorts and wear a wife beater to fill out application, spell everything like you have in this thread.

I just think Betty white would remember that i wanted no tomatoes on my sandwich where as Miley would most likely be texting and i would never get my sandwich let alone with a smile

muddinman you sound like a weeney. If your looking for direction why not join the military. I have been in 6 years and its not too bad. It will get you out of Michigan thats for sure. The Marine corps if you want a challenge, some other branch if you don't. But hey any branch will work. IMO its better than freaking mowing lawns........ handsdown.

Good luck finding something in this area. I live just outside of Armada and my son has been putting apps in all over the place with no luck. And no, the there are no jobs with the farmers around here either. It's sad actually, I remember when I was your age just going out putting in a couple apps and picking which one I wanted to work for, it's not like that anymore.

You may not have much of a choice.

Go to school (college degree in a field that will get you a job)
A trade i.e. machinist(oops gone), electrician(oops gone), carpenter(oops gone), big three(sorry)

And then there is the military. I will use my dad as an example. He joined the army at 18. He retired after 22 years. He then got a job with TACOM as a weapons logistics specialist(paper pusher) He then retired from TACOM after 25years. He now owns 2 homes. One is paid off. He is living happily on 2 pension checks a month.

Like my dad told me.

college
trade
military

those are basically your choices. Sure you will eventually get hired at McDonalds, but I am pretty sure you will not be well off. Get my point.

Good Luck dood.

I have not worked for the last 4 years and turned down one job probably 5 times in the last 3 years just cause I do not really want to work. My neighbor had his hours cut so his wife went and found 2 part time jobs in one day about 3 months ago. I suspect there are jobs out there but you need to look harder or do something different. From the looks of the McD's workers that we have around here anybody that can brtush their teeth and find clean cloths should almost be manager material. I refuse to go to the local one anymore just because the employess look so bad. And I am not what most people would consider picky.

Don't be so thinned skinned. Learn to read between the lines. Sooner you look at life in a mature way the sooner you will start to become successful. Majority of these fat bald guys on here wish they were in your very position so they could have a do-over in their failed attempt to have a good successful life.

Been looking for work since last October and just finally landed something solid. It's a tough market out there for sure these days. Doesn't mean there isn't work though. Networking can be key to get a foot in the door. With so many internet apps coming in to company's HR depts, it's can be hard to differentiate yourself. Just keep at it!

And don't necessarily buy into the hype that the grass is greener out of state... The market is shitty everywhere. I know TONS of people losing jobs back in WA and that is supposedly one of the better employment states. AZ is getting shitty too. Be thankful the cost of living is what it is here! If you're out of work or have lost your job in a state like WA, CA, or NY, you're can get truly fucked quickly.

If you still haven't found something by the time you're 18, consider contacting a temp agency. You work for the agency, they send you to companies that are looking for temporary help, be it file bitch, secretary, line worker, etc. Most temp agencies pay decent and you'll get more professional experience.
