I'm in the market for a bike again. Budget isn't much, maybe $1500. Enduro/DS, street bike, ?? If anyone has something for sale let me know. Been scouring CL and nothing has grabbed my interest

I have been thinking about buying a bike but not sure on what to buy. I like the look of café, bobber and street fighter motorcycles.

Here is a bike I seen on CL is this worth buying.

It came with brand new DOT knobbies that are a bit much for me so I ordered some 50/50 tires, shinko 244's, to make riding in the rain on pavement much less dangerous. It feels like a slightly more powerful, funner version of my TW200 that I used to have, I'm really liking it so far.

It's weird how boring I found my Nighthawk 750 to be. It has 5x more power than my TW or this bike, but it was really heavy and had absolutely no character. I like the thumper vibes and ability to hop curbs and hit dirt roads I guess. Regardless I'm glad the Nighthawk is gone.

Nice bike. You'll enjoy it. I just picked up one of those for my brother in law last fall. Interested in getting rid of the knobbies? He could use a better set of rubber.

the bikes are slowing coming back to craigslist. You'll find something. Small DS is a great idea.

XT225, XT250, DR350, KLR250, KL250, TW200, etc.

I made a new battery mount for project SR250. I just used a couple L-brackets and a chunk of aluminum plate I had laying around.

I bought a 1981 GS750E last Sunday. Not sure if I'm going to keep it or sell it. I was told that it is to nice to do what I wanted to do.

I'm actually going to hang on to them, thanks though! This bike will likely end up being a dedicated dirt bike eventually (a year or two down the road), and at that point i'll throw those knobbies back on. I hate paying for new tires since they're brand new, but my 25 mile ride to the shop for the tire change today re assured me that I made the right choice, those tires are terrifying on road at speed.

That's cool.

What do you mean it will become a dedicated dirt bike?

As in it's a commuter/day trip/light trail bike/my only motorcycle now and I hope for it to be something that I haul up north and run some real dirt bike trails without worrying about making it 3+ hours home.

I'll still run the street here and there for fun, but I want to get have a second bike within the next year or two.

gotcha. I was going to say, if you weren't planning on using it on the street anymore, I'd say go with a specifically off road bike. Lighter, cheaper, etc.

Been tinkering on my bike here & there. New rear tire, hand/brush guards & new headlight plastic. Fixed the lights, adjusted the brakes, & changed the oil & filter. The p.o. took the baffle out of the muffler & it was rusted out on the inside so I did some searching & came up with a super trapp that needed a good cleaning & repacked. So far I'm real happy with it. I took advantage of the sunshine & rode 18 miles of back roads today.

Who has had their street bike out this year? I have not yet, which is weird, I usually get a few rides in before april. As long as it starts ok tmw will be my first ride of the year.

Dirt /ice covered road with huge holes. Bike buried behind wood= bike stays in pole barn. I want my road paved again.
