Ace Hardware Rust stop rattle can job :)

All the tins where powder coated black when i bought it and the 1200 kit was installed but not running well.
Runs like a mofo now and i think it looks a lot better after some cutting, hammering and spray paint. Haha

Last year the day i bought her

I have no pics of the top of the tank on the bike but here is where the "hammering" part came in.
The tank fell from its hanger while drying and well it dented the shit out of it so i did the ol "make the dents match" trick. 24oz framing hammer and some tape and paint,,,, done
great job

The bad news.... 7-24-13 i jumped on the shadow and headed for work, three miles later a deer decided i had gone far enough and that i needed to dismount at 55mph and take a rest! She ran into me from the side and took me out! The bike wasnt too bad and could have been an easy fix but i decided to let them take it and look into something more comfy, i could only ride 100 or so miles before i wanted off, so the search begins. As for me i am still a little sore in my knee and chest but am overall pretty good, atgatt! I can post pics later if you guys want to see.

Now the good news, i am calling on a gl1500 wing tomorrow with 44,000 near detroit for $3,700 ! That should hit that comfy spot for now ! In the next year or two i want to get a 03+ gl1800 wing just dont want that payment yet. I want to get the truck paid off first.

Thx!
Its a blessing your OK, and now ya get a new ride. :)
Ive draped my bag over a few gold wings, deffinate week long rides with ease. Good choice. The new naked (or semi naked) wings give me a raging boner.

Glad you're ok. I did that 2 years ago and, by the grace of God, walked away from it. Good luck finding a new bike!

Anyone been on a Yamaha Bolt yet? Just saw info online about them today. By no means am I a Harley/cruiser guy but I would seriously consider buying a used one in a few years.

Picking up a 2001 Honda Valkrie tonight. Within the next few weeks, will be getting a Suzuki GS1000 or 1100. Don't know the year yet, because it's free. But it needs a lot of work.

Well i got it picked up yesterday! Definitely not perfect but i am pretty happy so far. There is a little stumble that i figure some seafoam and a tune up should take care of. There are a few lights out ( marker lights on the trunk and such) a cover on the fairing and some minor scratches and such but all in all pretty good i think for being 24 years old. The biggest thing i felt a little duped on is the bottom of the left saddle bag is broken and is busted out a little bit but i can deal with that too. I may look into some replacement speakers but being i dont really intend on listing to the radio really not too worried about it. And i was happy it has an air horn on it already!

Here is the pics!!

I picked this up yesterday. I just got done cleaning off sticker residue and plasti dipping the fairings and tank. The PO dropped it in a u turn so the stickers were toast anyways. I'll be doing the wheels as well.

They always look unfinished without the manufacturer graphics though. Not necessarily the lines, but the manufacturer and model ones. I dont think those would stick to plastidip.

I would highly recommend waxing the painted parts before plasti-dipping. I've heard of clear coat pulling up from painted surfaces if left on for a long time.

I swapped the grips with the natural gum rubber Kung fu's from biltwell. I also painted the derby cover satin black and used some rope as spark plug wire cover. I also replaced the clutch and brake levers with some good used ones. I got a cowbell horn cover with the deal, but on the custom the horn is on the front. I'm thinking of creating a stash spot inside the cowbell for, whatever.

kind of a shitty picture but this is how the plasti dip turned out on the plastics. I'm probably going to have to peel it off the tank and paint it. Where my jeans rub will probably start peeling after a while but I like the look.

I also cut about 6" off of the exhaust can and I think it looks a lot better and not that much louder. I need to get the wheels painted I'm thinking either a gunmetal, bronze, or just black.
