Many years ago I had a 1975 Kawasaki H1. That was an awesome bike to ride. I was also younger then. That 3 cylinder 2 stroke ran like the devil if you could hold on to it.
The Yamaha RD350 was a real fun ride as well. Those were the days you could get away with a little more than today also.

Zook,
An old neighbor of mine had a Yamaha XS650 which is what your bike is based off of and he loved it. Ran great and was easy to maneuver in and around A2 when he was going to school there.

I had it out taking pictures. Had it for sale but decided to keep it. 100th ann. with only 3300 miles.

I rode 400 miles on Saturday. (In North Carolina for work, 80 degrees and sunny.) I rented a Harley Road King for the weekend.

That is perfect weather to ride in. I think I would keep that anniversary edition also. It is a beautiful bike.

But I can't stand bugs in my teeth

Here is a shitty pic from the other day, I added an engine guard, speakers, foot boards on the back, and some other things. My new front tire is in my office.

It looks better without the piratey leather bag on the front.

Doesn't sound terrible, it is a little Chinese amp pushing some 4" JVC speakers I mounted on the engine guard.

I don't have any 'nice' mounted pictures yet. I did not need to use the provided filter. I also bought kuryakyn quick clamps to mount the speakers on as the originals were cheap and shitty. It was still WAY cheaper then a Cycletunes setup.

A gesture based iPod touch music app... works awesome and you never have to look down.

Amp in the bag, it doesn't seem to get warm, so hoping in summer it will stay cool enough.

I don't have pictures of the mounted speakers as I did it the night before I went riding. They also have a 2" speaker kit, which is what I should have went with. 2" would have mounted on my handlebars, the 4" are a little big unless I get different bars. I have the 4" on the engine guard, and it makes them a little harder to hear, but I could hear it clearly.

They came from ebay from this company.

Nice way to hide the amp, looks good. Running the amp in the summer in the bag may be an issue. Do you have any ideas if it overheats what you would do?

Not yet, I could always ventilate the bag more in the back/sides. I left the amp on and running in the house for a few hours and it didn't even get warm to the touch. The black bag may make it warm, but I guess I will find out.

The inside of that bag has stayed dry in the 2 rains that I have been caught in. I try to watch the weather pretty close as I don't like riding in the rain at all.

I hate riding in the rain also. Nice to hear that you have had no problems with your amp through the rain and not heating up. That is a great place to put it I really like it.
MikeSova,
I too had hoped to be riding this week and not looking at the bike wishing.

Sova, got you some more mounted pics. They are waterproof speakers too. Hopefully I will be happy with them, I have not done highway speeds yet with them.

cool. You mounted them on the engine guards, huh? Wouldn't you be able to hear better if they were on the handlebars? What's the translucent blue thing on the speaker housing?
